Tara Root Illustrations turns favorite Johnstown destinations — from Coney Island to George’s Music Shop to the Inclined Plane — into frameable art. Artist and entrepreneur Tara Bagley says that capturing favorite locations through watercolor is just one of her favorite things about the Alleghenies.

“The community and area are changing so much, and it’s amazing to see so many small businesses opening and thriving. This town is full of artistic, aspirational, hardworking people and I’m so honored to be a part of it,” she said. “Seeing others succeed gives me hope as well that I may succeed also. The landscape and scenery is also very beautiful. I’ve been to many places in the US, but when you drive back through PA and see the hills and trees, it’s impossible to not be inspired and in awe of its beauty.”
